The Beauty of Blessings

Husband and I are determined to wipe out all of our debt.  We want to create a strong financial foundation for our family.

We'd discussed selling Husband's Civic.  He's tried a few times in the past without any success.  Well... when listed our ad on Craigslist last night, we had 15 calls within the half hour.  Within one hour, the car was sold.

The whole time Husband was talking to the new owner, I couldn't shake the feeling that this transaction was meant to be.  Selling the car so easily and being able to close out a loan was a shock... and a total blessing.

The Lord works in mysterious ways; many times his works aren't crystal clear to us.  But occassionally, there are opportunities like this that allow us to see the perfect link between obedience and blessings.  It's quite wonderful.

It reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures, D&C 130:21...

"And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated."

Goodbye, little Honda.  It's slightly sad to see you go... but only because you were the car that took us on our first blind date.  It's on to bigger and better things!

  1. This post made me laugh a little because Bryan had a Honda Civic when we were dating, and when we were first married. It was his pride and joy! lol But it is so good that you are doing so well. I'm glad you're so happy! =]
