On Saturday, after volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul, we headed over to the Phoenix Public Market.
I have been dying to visit this market forever!
Ever since reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle while roadtripping along the West Coast, I have wished that I could live a life where I grew a lot of my own food and ate locally.
In Arizona, that's pretty much impossible, thanks to the desert and lack of water.
Oh joy.
Only two or three vendors were selling vegetables and the variety was very slim.
Prices weren't that great, either.
I guess if I want to get the best strawberries and black berries from a stand off the side of the road, I need to live in Oregon or Washington.
Maybe someday...
