On Friday, Clara and I embarked upon our first solo journey. Over wide freeways, long stretches of desert landscape, and winding mountain passes we went, all the way to Grandma's house. It was just me, Clara, static radio, and the gas light.
Our first stop was the homecoming parade, to see Uncle Nick's float. We saw lots of friends and family there, including Max, the new dog.
Clara experienced cold weather for the first time and wasn't sure what to make of it.
The next day was Clara's Open House, which gave all the hometown friends and family a chance to meet Clara. It was a wonderful party. My mom slaved away over delicious desserts, including homemade eclairs and tres leches cake, and I ate way too much.
Meanwhile, Clara was busy relaxing with Mimi.
Though we had a lot of fun (and were majorly spoiled), we were missing our hubsdaddy, so back home we went. As soon as we arrived, we feasted on cheeseburgers and pooped our pants at In-N-Out, then we headed home to snuggle.
