The first thing I bought for baby while I was pregnant was a little trapper hat.
I remember scooting around the mall on that very pregnant day, in that navy blue dress. I returned some skinny clothes that I doubted I'd ever fit into again, splurged on some fries from McDonald's, and stumbled upon a furry cap that was marked down to $3.
When I saw it, I couldn't put it back, even though it was pretty boyish.
It isn't exactly gender neutral and I'll admit that I was imagining it atop a chubby boy when I bought it.
But, it turns out, this little hat is adorable on my baby girl, too.
