A Few More From Christmas

Clara and Steven are lucky little people, because they also get to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Great-Grandma!  Sadly, by the time we arrived at my family's, Clara was really feeling ill.  I did, however, manage to get a few photos, so here they are!

Oh, how I love these two children of mine.  Clara was her spunk, love of words, and friendliness.  Steven with his sweet smile and laugh, his desire to climb and scale every object in a room.  They sure did make Christmas wonderful this year.  I have a feeling next year will (somehow, though it seems unbelievable!) be even better.

Day at the Zoo

A new tradition has started and it's one of my very favorite things.  Once a month, the girls in my family get together to do something fun.  This month, it was a trip to the zoo.  And oh, we had a good time!

Day at the Farm/Mall

Clara and I were royally spoiled yesterday by two of our favorite ladies.

Our original plan was to browse the shops in downtown Chandler, but Clara quickly nixed that by blowing out her outfit before she was even strapped into her stroller.  Personally, I think she knew that there was a Kohl's down the road and she set her sights on a wardrobe update.

Once Clara was outfitted in her Valentine's garb, we headed for The Coffee Shop at Agritopia.  I thoroughly enjoyed a chicken club on a croissant, a fruit punch, and a chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake that didn't taste like a cookie, but was still delicious.  (It's a good thing I don't live closer or I'd be eating there once a week!)

Then it was off to the mall, where I confronted my nemesis, Gymboree, head on and was beautifully defeated.  (Just wait until you see this strawberry dress.)  I nursed my wounds with a smoothie and ended the day with way too many chippers from Paradise Bakery.  

Let's do it again!

Sugar Coma

One of the best things about heading home is hanging out with the girls, the girls being my mom and my grandma.

Seriously, they are the best.

On Saturday morning, we headed to the farmer’s market. The breeze was blowing and the weather was pretty tame. Though I wished that the market was selling more fruit, I was pretty impressed by the three stands that were selling vegetables. The others were selling baked goods and let me just say, I had a really good cinnamon roll, whopie pie, peanut butter cookie, and about five sugar cookies.

And then I had a monster strawberry smoothie at the coffee shop down the street.

And then we went antiquing, where I found the most amazing high chair known to mankind. Once we move into the condo (by the way, we might be moving), I will totally take a picture of the high chair once we get the dining room set up.

It is freaking the best baby thing I have acquired so far.
