I've been in a funk lately, though it is a very enjoyable funk.
I've spent a lot of time with Clara at the swimming pool and shopping around town, teaching dance again, trying to be a better housekeeper, and taking dips in the pool.
In some ways, I have been more productive (eating more fruit?), but in others (blogging?), I am failing miserably. Still, it seems that the areas in which I'm lacking aren't too important, so I haven't felt too guilty.
Another awesome-funk activity that I've been focusing on is emergency preparedness. (The blame for this one resides wholly on The Walking Dead.) I spent all of yesterday morning assembly our 72 hour kits, mostly from things we already had laying around the house and it felt really good to accomplish something that has the potential to be really important.
As for projects I would like to be focusing on, I do have to admit that I'm in a sort of creative rut. I would like to do some home decor projects and furniture rearranging, but I am a little bit discouraged by the combination of a temporary living space and me being a ridiculous cheapskate. I guess there are bigger things to worry about in the world, but I can't escape the desire to make a house a home.
(How much energy do you put into decorating a space that you don't own??)
And here's where I wrap up this post with a picture of Clara performing one of her newest tricks.
I'm in trouble.
Funny, my funk lately has been avoiding housework and blogging more. Hmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as Miss Clara goes, you just wait! Soon you'll have cupboard locks on every door!
