When It's Not Too Hot

Sometimes, the most exciting thing we do is crawl around on the grass or play in the gravel.  Though I spend the majority of these outings retrieving leaves and rocks from Clara's mouth, I also spend a lot of time admiring her process of discovery.  For instance, on this day, she recognized a bird's chirping, followed the sound up into a tree, focused on the bird, and pointed up at it.  How exciting for her to see and watch a bird for the first time!  And how amazing to realize that she couldn't have done these simple actions just a few weeks ago.
